You can build your endurance with a yoga breathing technique called Breath of Fire.
Kapalabhati, or Breath of Fire, is the sixth exercise in a pranayama routine that I call “Eight Minutes To Inner Peace.”
You can learn how at this link.
Physiologically, this breathing exercise allows you to reconnect with your lower body, which often gets disconnected in our highly mental society.
It tones your adrenal glands, builds your endurance, stimulates the sympathetic side of your nervous system and builds your energy.
Like Bellows Breath, Breath of Fire allows you to quickly move through suppressed and repressed emotional material lying beneath the surface of your mind that you may not have even been aware has been bothering you.
Although you may be aware if you are angry, upset, anxious or feeling unhappy, you may not always be able to pinpoint or even verbalize just exactly why.
Breath of Fire allows you to clear these emotions without needing to talk about them, identify the cause or understand what has been bothering you.
As a result, I find this technique is highly effective for helping to resolve post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or emotional upsets that occurred before a person was old enough to understand what was happening.
Because Breath of Fire stimulates our solar plexus – our center for psychic feeling – it also allows us to clear whatever emotions are lying on the surface of our mind.
Many times we pick up energy and emotions from other people without understanding exactly what it is or why we are resonating with those feelings.
This is a huge, hidden cause of much anxiety and depression.
During my medical intuitive readings, I find this is also a very common cause of digestive problems, as congested emotional energy in your third chakra shuts down your digestive process.
Although we all have emotions, many of the feelings we experience aren’t actually ours – they are just energies and vibrations that we have gone into sympathetic resonance with as a result of spending time with other people.
Breath of Fire is a great help for people high in psychic feeling who need to clear themselves and rediscover how they actually feel.
