This summer, as I was contemplating changing the name of my business and coming up with a new logo to express it, I became obsessed with spirals.

If you carefully watch sunflowers, hurricanes, galaxies, chakras, the Nautilus shell or the healing process, what you will discover is that all life energy moves in a spiral pattern.
This scientific fact has even been expressed in mathematics.
Leonardo Pisano Bigollo was the Italian mathematician in the Middle Ages (1170 to 1250 A.D.) who developed the concept of the Fibonacci spiral and came up with the math to prove it. When you add two numbers together, you come up with a third number – 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377. This pattern creates a spiral.
When I use a pendulum to check your chakra energy, you can easily see whether or not your charkas are open and balanced because healthy chakras move clockwise in a spiral pattern.
When I clear the energy in a room, I use counterclockwise spirals.
If you were to infuse beneficial energy, you would emit clockwise spirals.
Even though it is a well known scientific fact that our life energy moves in spirals, somehow as humans with high expectations of ourselves and others, we expect everything to move in a linear fashion – i.e., lickety split.
Simply put, we expect to set a goal – whether that goal be to become healthier, to make more money, to find our soul mate or to overcome any obstacle – and somehow we expect that our journey will be an A to B trip with no detours or scenic distractions along the way.
This is not how life energy actually happens – not that you can’t achieve your goals, but rather a more realistic outlook is to expect surprises, detours, revisits of earlier lessons at a deeper layer and to be unable to see clearly too far ahead of yourself.
The truth is, when you set your intention with these sorts of life-changing goals:

I have always felt in harmony with the grace of spiral healing energy. I chose a spiral for my Reiki master symbol. When I asked for guidance about what my new logo should be, I received it was to be a Fibonacci spiral.
